Would You Like Fries With That? #556

Show me what its for, make me understand it! I've been crawling in the dark, looking for the answer. Is there something more than what I've been handed?! I've been crawling in the dark, looking for the answer. - Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME! Welcome to another edition of Would You Like Fries With That? I went to see the most awesome concert of a lifetime, when I saw KoRn, Puddle of Mudd, and ::shudders:: Deadsy. It's hard to believe that the lead singer of Deadsy is the son of Cher, because all that band was loud and pointless. Puddle of Mudd was just awesome, and could have easily been the headline of the night. Their performance of Blurry was just awesome, and adding the chorus to Black Sabbath's War Pigs in the middle of their hit Control was a nice treat. KoRn was really awesome. It's amazing, especially when you've listened to about a good 90% of their songs a million times like me, and know all the lyrics and sing along with them almost the entire night. Also...you are looking at the new webmaster for Tri-County Wrestling Federation. I'm hoping to see if I can ref a few matches, and possibly become a commentator The big news is that they are going to Peoria! Starting this September, they are going to be at Peoria Athletics Club, which seats 300 people as opposed to Baley's Food and Drink in Forest City which seats about 40 people...and it's air conditioned (thank god). This will definitely reek of awesomeness. Next Monday I go down to Forest city to attend their practice and the promoter and I will discuss the website furthur. (Update on Josh: He got to referee yesterday's TWF event, and didn't do a bad job considering they didn't tell him ANYTHING besides the finish of the match). Well, lets see, that is it on the news front, I finally got everything settled out with my college tuition. THANK GOD! Tomorrow, I look for another job. Well...I guess it's time for the rantings... -- The internet is a really strange place, that is for damn sure. I have a lot of things that really bother me about it. So that is today's theme ...the internet. Life for example with Cyber-Sex which I have talked about countless times. Just things like that bother me.

RJ-45's Tales From A Call Center #1 - "Screen Windows"

Hey, we've all heard that working at a call center can be a nightmare sometimes. Honestly, I love it. I like the laid back environment and the chance to get my homework done or some writing done. The people at the call center rock too. The call center I work for is Internet Tech Support for one of the top Cable Companies in America. In other words, people call me with their problems with the internet. If you have ever done customer service...Just take those people, and PUT THEM ON A COMPUTER. Imagine the horror... Screen Windows ------------------------- Legend For Following the Action: :: Action ...Explains what I am doing:: Who Is Talking: RJ-45 Holds the Mute Button And Says Smart-Ass Remarks. I Don't Say Names of my company or the customers for Ethical Reasons. So I put the typeface in Courier RJ-45: Thank you for calling Company Name, this is Richard, how may I help you? Customer: ::speaks in a soft voice, she is a senior from the south...UH OH:: Hi, my internet is not working...

The Uncanny Would You Like Fries With That? #1

Hey everybody, welcome to the new and improved Would You Like Fries With That? This column is for my random thoughts. Literally whatever pops into my head while I am writing this. Pretty much how WYLFWT? was back in 'da day. I've had many people tell me they missed the ole' WYLFWT? Okay, so how many columns does that leave me with? Then again...Who cares besides me? :-) Random Thoughts For 10-15-2004: LIVE, ACOUSTIC, REMIX: Can't today's rock bands come up with anything else? They release an album. It is a big hit. Then they release an acoustic album with one new song, and then they release a REMIX ALBUM. Now, I am all for acoustic releases. However, the novelty quickly wears off when every band releases acoustic versions of all of their songs. Then their next album is a live album. Is it against the creative law to put your pen to the paper and write some new music these days? Does anybody even like remixes. My favorite band, Sevendust, had an awesome album. Now, I swear to god, their last album was a LIVE ACOUSTIC ALBUM. I am currently awaiting for that album to be remixed.

"Listen Up" Review

Listen up everyone…Listen Up is a new Sitcom that actually shows promise. It’s a known fact that 85% of all new TV shows do not go past the 1st season. (Source: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04249/373055.stm) So when I see a new TV show with promise, and I feel that it is not getting enough attention, I do my best to tell everyone to check it out. Listen Up is definitely a show that falls under that category. CBS is running this brand new Sitcom starring former Seinfeld star, Jason Alexander on Monday’s 8:30 Eastern/7:30 Central. If you were a big fan of Seinfeld, like me, then you will remember that Jason Alexander played, the stubborn, paranoid, eccentric, impulsive, and self-centered, George Costanza. George Costanza was the person that our parents were taught us not to be when we were growing up. That is why TV viewers fell in love with him.

Don't Tread on Me Vol 3: Family Situations

Don't Tread on Me Vol 3: Family Situations So many people in this nation blame society's woes on everything around them; everything from education to TV is blamed for children's piss-poor behavior, and everyone nods their empty heads like sheep in a fit of glorified self-agreement. Well, the buck stops here: yes, kids are misbehaving because of poor examples; their parents. Don't get me wrong, I did my share of acting up. But the buck stopped, and eventually I had to face my parents. The buck stopped at mom, and if she needed backup, she'd call my dad. That went for both before and after the divorce.
